Your listening privacy setting
Analytics consent: not granted
You are not signed in, so your choice is stored only in a cookie in this browser. We do not keep a record of it on our servers.
What we record when you listen
When you play a WRaidio station, our server starts a listening session and gives your browser a cookie that identifies it. Your browser then reports when you start a track, every 30 seconds while you listen, when a track finishes and when you leave. For each report we store the station, the item that was airing, the time on our server and how far into the item you were. If you are signed in, the session is linked to your account. We use this to count plays for artists, to report music usage and to run the service.
The three bases we record under
- Essential (the default)
- Plays are counted for usage reporting and for aggregate statistics shown to artists. The listening cookie lasts only until you close your browser.
- Consented
- If you allow analytics cookies above, the listening cookie may last up to one year, so later visits from this browser can be recognised as the same anonymous listener. You can withdraw at any time; withdrawing also deletes that cookie.
- Global Privacy Control
- If your browser sends the
Sec-GPC: 1signal, we treat the session as essential, mark it as GPC, and keep the cookie only until you close your browser. GPC always overrides a consent you gave, including during a session already under way.
Who sees it
Artists and their teams see counts only (such as plays and completions), never who listened. Our operations staff see aggregate figures, such as how many listeners were active in the last 90 seconds. Other listeners and artists cannot see sessions linked to your account.
What we leave out
Sessions of staff accounts and of test accounts (email domains orijin.test and example.test) are flagged and never counted in statistics.
How long we keep it
Raw listening events are deleted automatically after 180 days, and sessions with no remaining events are deleted with them. The station schedule (what aired and when) is kept as our usage log.
No third-party trackers
Orijin and WRaidio have no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics and no tracking pixels. We do not sell your listening history or share it with brands or advertisers.
Cookies we set
- A sign-in session cookie, while you are signed in.
orijin_ls: your listening session, as described above.orijin_analytics: remembers that you allowed analytics cookies (one year).
Your account
Accounts are by invitation only. For an account we keep:
- your name and email address, the invitation you accepted, and when you confirmed you are 18 or older;
- your password, stored only as a one-way hash;
- your sign-in sessions, including the IP address and browser details recorded when you sign in;
- what you do on the service: follows, saves, comments and reports, and, for creators, the profiles, releases, files, rights and provenance information you submit;
- your consent records: each time you change the setting above while signed in, we add a record of the choice, whether Global Privacy Control was on, and where you made it. Earlier records are never edited or deleted; the latest one is your current choice.
Important actions are written to an audit log so we can investigate abuse and disputes. To protect the service from abuse we count requests per network address; addresses are hashed before they are stored, and the counters are deleted after about a day.
AI-generated music
Much of the music on WRaidio is made with AI tools. Creators tell us how each track was made, and artist pages say whether an artist is human, AI or both. When a creator submits a release, its metadata, lyrics and quality-check results may be reviewed by an AI model from [AI review provider] to assist our human reviewers. When a creator asks for a cover cut-out, their portrait image is processed by [image-processing provider].
Service providers
We use providers to host the service ([hosting provider]), to store files ([storage provider]) and, when enabled, to receive error reports ([error-monitoring provider]). [Processing terms and international transfers: pending counsel.]
